Why Everyone Needs Their Own Dorota

It's about two seasons in to Gossip Girl when you realize how much Blair needs Dorota. It takes about ten seconds after that for you to realize how much you need someone like her in your life too. We can't all have nannies who carry our shopping bags and do our community service for us, but a girl can certainly dream. Dorota is a prime example of a ride or die and quite honestly we think she's better than some of our friends, even though she's being paid for this. I mean think about it...

Dorota always had Blair's back. Even if it wasn't the right thing to do, Dorota always supported Blair and put her priorities and feelings first. Name a best friend who would do that?

Though she was always a woman of very few words, when she did speak it was like Socrates giving you life lessons from Poland.

Don't let the loyalty fool you. Dorota stands by her morals and is not afraid to tell it like it is. A reality check the Blair Waldorf's of the world need.

One thing is for certain, and thats just how supportive Dorota really is and how much she truly cares. She will always tell you how pretty you look even if your dress is last season or if you're making the right decision to be with Chuck Bass. She will always tell you what you want to hear.

So by now I think we are pretty convinced on just how much we actually need our very own Dorota.

Even though we know it's never going to happen because this isn't Gossip Girl and we don't live on the Upper East Side where our nanny caters to our every move. Cheers to wishful thinking.

Artist On The Rise: Oogee Wawa

What's cooler than being on the beautiful west coast of Florida in the paradise known as Treasure Island? Being on Treasure Island listening to one of Long Island's coolest reggae rock bands Oogee Wawa, who perfectly set the good vibes last night at Treasure Island's CJ's On The Island. Oogee Wawa has been touring Long Island, Florida, and the Virgin Islands promoting their newly released album "More Sand Than Money". I had the pleasure of seeing these guys play while on vacation here in FL and could not have been more impressed. Oogee Wawa brought a high energy performance, all the sounds reminiscent of summer, and some good old Long Island charm.

I've been to quite a few shows at bars before, but never to see a reggae band and I'll be frank, this was quite an experience. Oogee Wawa had the crowd jumping and dancing and practically going insane right from the beginning and to the end. They played for a crowd that was very much into the reggae scene and fans of the band as well. In fact, last night was like their third or fourth time playing Treasure Island according to Oogee's MC, Jesse. Before the show I was thinking, what's a band from Long Island doing all the way down here? Once I walked into CJ's and the band started to perform I totally got it. The scene was thriving on their rocking island vibes and the audience was totally reciprocating the band's vitality. There was so much energy and good vibes flowing all around I couldn't help but be immediately sucked in. With one song from Oogee Wawa I was hooked.

I think what I loved most from them was their ability to capture the audience and keep them entertained with every song. These dudes were playing instruments and singing while jumping all over the stage and the venue. During one song, bassist Chad wound up in the crowd playing bass and dancing with the audience. I'm running out of breath thinking about the madness. The band played so well even for being *slighty drunk. That was even more impressive. In all seriousness, the band produced a bunch of feel good vibes with their songs fusing a mix of reggae, rock, and rap. I heard a serious Sublime influence that was really hitting home with me. It was about 60 degrees the night of the show and with their music I felt immediately transported into that 90 degree Florida summer that I could never get tired of.

I also have to make mention of the utter talent these guys have. At one point in the show, they all did a little swap. The drummer, Nick, switched with guitarist JP to play guitar and do vocals along with Jesse and it just proves that these guys are true musicians and artists. The fact that they can all play each other's instruments (and play them well very well) and sing, mixed with extremely well written songs with catchy hooks and sick harmonies make up all the ingredients for an incredible band. These are real artists. When they played I can tell how passionate they felt about their music and how much fun they were having playing it. They have all the potential to be the next Matisyahu or Sublime with Rome. It's only a matter of time for them.

If there is one thing I love is seeing a hometown band doing amazing things. Long Island has had some short comings in the music scene in the past, but is really making a revival with acts like Oogee Wawa. I mean these guys are rock stars. They write their own music, perform it live and captivate their crowd like any of the greats. They've made an instant fan out of me. They're just fun! I love to come to a show and be entertained. If I'm moving, you've got me. I couldn't stop dancing at their show! Neither could the rest of the crowd and that's 'cause they have talent. They're touring for the next couple weeks, but when they come home to LI, I'll be front row at their next show!

Below you'll find some notable tunes from Oogee Wawa and if you want see if they're heading your way anytime soon check here for the tour schedule!

(Hey cool! This video was shot at the Paramount in Huntington!)

Fun Band Fact: Oogee Wawa means "Cheers" in Zulu

Your Gym Work Out Is About To Get More Intense With This Playlist!

Nothing says Happy New Year like setting resolutions to get in shape! Last year I set out to drop a few pounds (and might I add was a little successful at it) and I'd like to think most of my motivation to work out came from the music I listened to. Something heart pumping, bass dropping, sexy and flirty is what I look for when looking for work out music. Taylor Swift Has Done It Again With "Out Of The Woods"

New Year, New Taylor Swift music video, and we aren't complaining! It seems as though we can't go one special events show without Taylor being involved and last night was no different at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest. The singer took the opportunity of millions watching and gifted us all the premiere of her new music video for her latest hit "Out Of The Woods" on the iconic New Year's Eve show and it was nothing shy of spectacular.

Swift has already had a show stopping 2015 and she kicked off 2016 no different. The video, shot in New Zealand, offered a beautifully enchanting interpretation of "Out Of The Woods" that could possibly be her most marvelous video and song to date. Aesthetically, the video includes gorgeous shots of New Zealand that are seemingly unworldly. Not to mention the purest snowfall, raging fire, clearest of oceans and blue eyed wolves masterfully CG'ed in to the video to add a visual like no other. Swift's performance and story telling provides a cinematic fairy tale that is absolutely awe inducing.

I've never been much of a Swift fan before, but between her album "1989" and now this video, I believe she is on to something. There is no denying the talent she has and after this video, the beauty and elegance that she exudes musically and artistically that will provide her not only longevity, but appeal to just about anybody of any musical taste. "Out Of The Woods" has the potential to be her biggest single yet and the video may be her best yet. Not only was it conceptually her best video yet, but you can feel her raw emotion evoked eloquently into each visual and that is what we love most from Swift.
